Director: Speaks and is fluent in 5 languages, that is English,
Portuguese (mother language), French, Spanish, Italian.
Assistant Director: Fluent in 4 languages: Portuguese, English, French and Spanish.
Staff: Bilingual, Portuguese, French, Spanish.
What We Do: We run an advanced preschool program for children ages 2-6 and an afterschool program ages 5-12.
Services: The advanced program children learn in English, French and Spanish
Advanced Curriculum – Advanced Math and Reading.
4 and 5 years Old Students: Are reading and writing. They have a vocabulary test every Friday. Students have homework activity everyday.
The benefits of learning a Second Language.
Most researches about the benefits of young children learning a second language agree that it is a positive stimulus for the part of the brain that deals with abstract thinking. Learning a second language can help problem solving thinking such as used in math and creative thinking. It is also a fact that people who already know how to speak a second or third language have greater ability to learn a new language.
An additional advantage to being bilingual in our 21st century is the job market. Bilingual workers are a priority choice for most careers.
The internet has accelerated our pace of international communication.It has also increased international business opportunities. The tendency is a growing need of workers in more fields. It is a must to our children's future to empower them with bilingual skills.
